Skyr Lee Bob´s Square Wunder Globe
Skyr Lee Bob is a trio featuring visual artist Gudni Gunnarrsson, dancer Erna
Omarsdottir and musician Lieven Dousselaere.
Their work is an idiosyncratic mix of their respective disciplines, mixing sound
installation art with visual and performance arts.
Starting point for this performance is the human search for wonder, the fantastic, the
unprecedented.
As a setting they have chosen the concept of the Wunderkammer, which we could
simply call Renaissance Europe's early attempt at a museum.
As the forerunner of the modern museum, the common Wunderkammer incorporated
all sorts of bizarre objects. Everything from religious relics and historical objects to
works of art and design. Sometimes the objects and their history were faked, and had
much more to do with poetry than natural science. At times even flirting with
suggestive juxtapositions like a splinter of Christs cross next to the horn of a unicorn,
and various stuffed animals.

What started as a performance in a gallery in Iceland as part of the Reykjavik Art
Festival has now been developed into a full theater experience where the gallery has
slipped inside as a passenger.
You are hereby presented with the possibility to venture with two colonial-mannered
figures with an uncontrollable collecting fetish on their hunt for weird species and
objects to bring back to their civilized world of splendor.
